@lauravivanco a mis brazos! I can take a scene about food preparation/presentation/degustation, perhaps two, if the book is long enough and/or there's enough happening otherwise. But entire chapters devoted to every spice grinding, etc... no, sorry, no can do.
ONE glaring exception: _Como Agua Para Chocolate_, but a) really short book; b) the storytelling is intrinsically tied to the food preparation and consumption, and c) ...it's Mexican food and I'm an expat.
