A shame as although v3 was clunky, once it was configured (lots of clicks), it just worked. v4 doubles the number of clicks, removes some functionality and is almost completely unusable on a low resolution screen.

Any peeps able to help?
Yesterday I upgraded my v3 to v4. It's awful. Huge step backwards. Nasty nasty nasty.
So I want to go all-in with Home Assistant, but can't see how to do a few things... The main one is how to set and then act on a schedule (e.g. when central heating should run). In HomeSeer I use the EasyTrigger plugin which let's me define time periods and then actions based on them. How do I set up a schedule in HA and what's the best way?

What technologies are people using these days? I’ve been primarily using for 12+ years, but I’m generally unhappy with the available controllers. I want to give a try, though.

I have no idea what is the history of Plugwise but at the very moment I would recommend to avoid buying anything from them. At first glance they've looked very professional and well organized. But please, do not be mistaken.

The first thing: they have warned, indeed, about "possible longer delivery time" during the order process. However, they gave no insights if that would be a week, a month or few months. Zero. Nada. Null. One day I've just received an email: "we have sent your product". Apart from that no updates at all.

I've ordered a central unit and 9 thermostats. I've installed everything in the evening of the same day I've received the parcel. From 9 thermostats one was plainly not working and another was suspicious. Both of them had physical MAC address different from one on the sticker.

That was on Tuesday. Wednesday evening I've noticed another two broken thermostats. One of them was working, but constantly reporting 0% battery level, another one had a broken engine. I've went to the site looking how to arrange the replacement of broken parts.

As requested, I've created the ticket in their support system. They promised the answer in 24-48 hours. Friday evening - no answer. I've got slightly annoyed. But, well, I've connected the system to my Home Assistant installation, invested some time. Let them replace the broken thermostats and we will be fine. Saturday early afternoon the central unit has lost the communication with all the thermostats, because of not detecting the USB Zigbee dongle. And what is worse - it kept the gas boiler running.

I've quickly replaced Plugwise solution with the old one and now, on my desk, I have a rather expensive paper weight with blinkenlichten.

Plan for Monday: call the Plugwise support and ask them how they would like to solve the issue. I hope they will offer an acceptable solution (full refund, cover the cost of sending them back their crap) without the need of engaging the consumers' ombudsman.
