Other than weight, mostly incremental upgrades.

i3 4150 (3.5 Ghz dual core 54W 2017) -> Ryzen 3550H (2.1-3.7Ghz quad core 35W 2019)

8GB DDR3 --> 16GB DDR4 (though 2GB seems to be reserved for GPU; need to tweak that at some point...)

So day 1 of the #Kubernetes cluster:

Wrote a small #Golang program to output the host name of the container for testing, got it running in the cluster with replicas, got that exposed via #Traefik

Then provisioned another node in using #Ansible.

Not bad I’d say!

Node 1 of n nodes for tinkering. The other(s) will be added when I dig them out of whatever storage box I have them in.

Got a neat little mini PoE hat too that doesn’t take up loads of space like others I’ve had in the past do!

Will be hooking them into a #Ubiquiti US-8-60W switch with their own isolated VLAN for lab work.
