I was driving on the Blue Ridge Parkway in Virginia late in the afternoon, glanced over and pulled off to the side immediately. This is not Photoshopped - this is exactly what I saw that afternoon. Amazing! I have to wonder what this looked like to the people on the edge of the spotlight of sun.

A couple years ago, I was out in the middle of a snow storm, getting as many photographs as I could. On my way home, I spotted the Norfolk Southern 1198 train just sitting on the tracks. The engines were idling, and when they turned on the lights, I knew they were getting ready to move on.

The Lower Falls at Tahquamenon Falls State Park, located in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. The brown color in the water is tannin. It is leached from the cedar swamps that the Tahquamenon River flows through.

There can be more to creating AI art than entering a detailed description and types of art styles or descriptors. I've found that you can create an excellent image with a phrase, followed by the names of some artists that might fit the art style you're looking for, then some descriptors. This image's starting point was the quote from Aliens about how "they mostly come out at night". Not using the word "alien" in my description yielded a very different result as the AI engine was evaluating the quote itself and incorporating the artist names I included and the other modifiers like "concept art and fantastical"

Using artificial intelligence, I wanted to apply a wet wash application to a photo illustration, making the image appear even more fantastical. I provided a detailed description of what I wanted to see and I invoked the names of several of my favorite (and very different!) artists such as Tanaka Atsuko, Dan Mumford and Winslow Homer. The result was astounding.

I love wandering around botanical gardens. So many contrasting and complimenting colors, different in every season. Our visit to the Belle Isle Conservatory in Detroit, Michigan was in the month of October and the colors were beautifully vibrant!

I needed to create some art that was both bright and dark at the same time to offset our hit or miss sunny weather this weekend. I created this AI image in Night Café using different contrasting colors and different art styles. Some of the descriptors to make this unique were blue starry landscape, futurism art, gouache and yellow contrast.

This was fun to create! It shows why I love creating with artificial intelligence. I can create images that I could not otherwise create using my camera.
