Switching up gym routines. After 26 weeks, it's time for something new.

Full bidy push-pull. Basically, each day I add legs to the push and the pull. I don't have time to spend more than 4x a week at the gym. Keeps me consistent and not skipping days. The other three days cardio. Cycling or running.

Oh, I still plan to attempts the 6 minute mile before years end . Wish me luck.

It's going to be able night as I just started to edit tomorrow workout video. Oh, did I mention that I have a YouTube channel (link in my profile) and I post home workout videos every Monday and Thursday. HIIT workout, core, cardio, etc. Seriously, if you cannot find a workout that is between 5-30 minutes long. Give my channel a browse.

Since all of my running is on the treadmill now here is today's workout

15 minute WU
8x2min at 7min pace on 1 min rest intervals
10 min CD

Still feeling the knee out. I am a month away from my 6 min mile attempts to continue the 20 year old streak.

Practicing with @JasonCrandell on Glo.com today. I finally managed with my right leg forward! I broke and displaced several ribs on my left side a few years ago, rendering this pose inaccessible until today. Thank you, Jason! Sometimes obstacles can be knocked down. I hurdled over this one today. 😉.

Well here we go the first post Thanksgiving workout. A little extra oomph in the step to nap a few additional calories.🙂

Fun workout but as I always say, do not depend on your training to lose weight. Depend on your diet for that.

@susannemclon agreed the fitness space here seems sparse.

I started strength training when I was about your age. The results have been great and I feel much younger, stronger. It is a work in progress 🙂
Once you are healed, don't make the same mistake I made and start slowly, learn the technique and don't get injured.
Same goes for running. I always say but rarely follow this advice. 36 hours w/o pain before attempting another run.

Winter is the perfect time to work on your running cadence. Remember the only way to get faster at running is to increase your cadence.

Try this treadmill workout.
Warm up 10-15 minutes then complete 4-6 intervals, 3 minute intervals that are broken up like this, 1 min overstriding, 1 min regular stride and 1 minute short fat strides. Feel the difference with each cadence. Rest with 1 minute of walking between the 3 minute sets.

Electric went out in the workout room yesterday. Time to go and try to fix it, hopefully just a new circuit breaker needed.
