What you want there is "headcanon." As in the canon in your head.

PEAK is the top of something, usually pointy. Mountains have peaks, as do roofs. We whip meringue or cream to "soft peaks" or perhaps "stiff peaks" (but watch the cream, as it will turn to butter rather quickly at that point).
PEEK is a look, a glance, often done shyly or surreptitiously. Remember that SEE has two Es and so does PEEK.
I stopped counting the number of times I see one of these misused for the other. They'll keep us copy editors employed. 1/
