Some of the hoodoos in Bryce Canyon National Park are massive. In the photo below, two hikers in the center bottom of the picture give you perspective on the size of these brilliant rock walls. It’s truly amazing to experience.

A trip in the fall of 2009 to Zion and Bryce Canyon National Parks in Utah was the beginning of our regular visits to the U.S. national parks. Here is a picture I took at Bryce Canyon. It was lovely to look at but even better to hike down into these colorful hoodoos.

Bryce Canyon as seen from almost Sunrise Point. I was working my way along the Rim Trail from Sunset Point when rain surprised me. It looks nice and sunny but there was an impending rain storm approaching from the opposite direction so I didn't make it to the actual concrete pad where it states "Sunset Point" but close.
