With things like @cogsciapps #Hookmark integration, I could not resist @capacities and use it for very specific things. @logseq #LogSeq has much broader foundational uses. I'm a big believer in avoiding all or nothing thinking, you don't have to pick just one. I also believe in redundancy. So I download daily backups of my Capacities content where it lives in my @obsidian @obsidianmd vault. Learning more than one tool is 🤩

@pkmplaybook @capacities :ablobwave: It automates a lot of things that have become standard in Markdown editor apps. Not replacing @logseq , not local first , but it is a great tool for aggregating large amounts of information and media quickly.

It also has great integrations with @cogsciapps #HookMark , Telegram & WhatsApp

It has a robust free tier, so you can get a good feel for it. @pkmbeth has some great content on YT, Medium and her blog about it too.

@MarcSchulder 100% agree! I've moved all my bookmarks into Zotero.

Combining that with #Hookmark (at least on macOS), also allows me to link either to items within my Zotero library, or to the files themselves, and has really revolutionized my notetaking & trying to improve on my time ROI from browsing around the web and finding something that I want to save for later.

I still think the combination of Logseq with @cogsciapps ’s Hookmark and its ability to generate Markdown links to files, folders, and emails is the best thing since sliced bread. (I only wish, Logseq would implement native Hookmark support.)

@jillianne I have moved to it too. It works very well with #Hookmark Mac app which has a complementary purpose. Basically Hookmark connects all your web pages to the rest of your digital world ( data in your Mac apps [email, PDFs, etc.], cloud, etc), wherever the data are stored.

I've been sharing #Onenote Notebooks with my undergraduate student, and the hookmark links (hook://file/ URI scheme) to PDFs stored in my @zotero library, exported and imported into my students brand new @zotero reference library... still work, despite being on a different filesystem, they just automagically work.

I would say the most two important #PKM apps I currently own are #Obsidan and #Devonthink - that is why #Hookmark is so useful.

#Obsidian is where I do all my writing and I index the vault in #DevonThink. #DevonThink is my read-it-later and archival tool.

I do a combination of #Zettlekasten and #PARA to integrate my thinking with my work. Here's my current organisation.

As I'm not a Mac person, I haven't used any of those apps. I am familiar with #Hookmark, though, and it would be really amazing in tandem with my go links idea. Easily copy a link to anything at all, then add it as a go link with an easy-to-remember semantic name, so next time you can just go:thething

Just looking at #bunchapp as well, and I could just imagine using Hookmark to get the url of a bunch (if possible?) and run it with go:do/podcast or something
