Social media colleague just shared a #hootsuite report on links clicked from social media sites and it literally is the least useful report ever.

Going to explore alternatives. Unacceptable.

With Tweetdeck due to go behind a paywall in days - apparently you have to have a verified blue tick - I refuse to give Musk ANY cash, even though it's going to make my professional life difficult. My clients still want a Twitter presence, even though I don't. Does Hootsuite still work, or any other similar gizmo?

@ZachWeinersmith Blog, please, with #RSS. Personally I'd go with #Wordpress using the #fediverse plugin, so you get #RSS, posting to #Mastodon and the rest of the fediverse. Then you can put links to it across all the various socials via something like #Hootsuite. I don't remember what the acronym was but the classic "host and control it yourself, bring the traffic from others platforms" idea.

From time to time, I see the app #hootsuite when launches telling you that is removing your userdata, requiring me to input my credentials again. Don't know why they do that, just keep sure you are not doing something mischievous

Since #Hootsuite decided to shut down all of my accounts that were still on their soon-to-be-legacy Free plan, I've decided to switch to @bufferapp to schedule future social content on other platforms. 😠
