@nitramarual Can’t help much but: I have a vague and arm-wavy idea about some #GrandfatherClocks (or #LongCaseClocks being #Clocks with a weight that dropped to power the thing. Something to do with a mechanism called the #Escapement. Sorry that’s not too helpful but maybe it’s a clue, or you can find a #Horologist on Mastodon
