Consider also the doctrines of delayed #reward and delayed #retribution.

These doctrines have always garnered excuses from the powerful on the logically fallacious premise that #humans are too weak to deal with #reality.

Again, this lie only benefits those already in power. You see, THEY can handle reality. It's just YOU poor scum who "can't handle the truth."

The delayed #retribution trope goes like this: Who is to judge my crimes but #god. A fucking #jury of your peers -- that's who. But without that jury the #priests go on #raping children in the here and now. The #billionaires go on raping the poor of their labor. And then, when not punished and stripped of their evil-gotten gains in the here and now, the devils #die -- and pass their gains to their children. Wash, rinse, repeat. Power passed to the next #generation w/o retribution. Great #scam, right?

Delayed reward goes like this:

#Rich person:
"Poor person, be happy with your lot and fret not that I have all your money, because if you come chop my head off now, you'll be labeled a #sinner and won't get to revel in a nebulous and undefined #paradise in the afterlife."

#Poor person:
"Uh huh. Uh huh. Yes, that makes perfect sense. Can I lick your shoes clean, please"? #Bullshit.
