Today was the first of three hay days. 50 bales delivered and tucked into brand new hay shelter, mostly by me. Feels so good to know I can get all the hay I need for my horses for the winter and not have to scramble after last year's drought. This guy is awesome and I'm hoping he can become a regular supplier.

I like how the herd will occasionally stand next to Thunder's pen and often there's at least one horse next to him, even Holly the lowest ranking horse in the herd and who Thunder has been pushy toward keeps him company. I'm sure they know he's fine (hoof abscess, we're just keeping him confined until it clears) and in good hands, and yet they're including him in herd dynamics.

We should strive to be like the herd.
