All we know now is that if accepted, he will have to travel back to USA again (£600, many carbons) to get the visa stamp in his passport. In this day and age!

Spent this morning trying to imagine what the process would be like for someone whose first language isn’t English. Who might be coming in from a war zone. Who has left everyone they know and love behind. Who has just about saved up enough money to get to a safe place.
