My neighbors' kids at 823 Cleveland St. (@ Gray Ave.) have a hot chocolate stand. I assume it's just mornings, but I'm not sure. It's running for a week from yesterday; that makes this the 1st & last weekend. $5, I think (they didn't want me to pay), & made with either regular or coconut milk. Here's a peek into my kitchen: Hot cocoa from real chocolate.
The first picture is dark chocolate melted with some butter, heated in the microwave 20 seconds at a time.
The second is with some warm milk introduced, looking almost like it'll seize.
The third picture is when enough has been introduced that it's gotten smooth again.
If I don't do this 2~3 spoonfuls of milk at a time (or if it's cold), it becomes a lumpy mess because water makes chocolate seize orz

Not too long ago, I was talking with a friend about a bucket list item of trying the best #hotcocoa in the world. In my mind, the best would essentially be rich, creamy, thick hot cocoa, as if you melted a whole chocolate bar and made it a drink.

To my surprise, I might have found exactly what I envisioned at Ginger Elizabeth Chocolates. I tried their European Sipping Chocolate and OMG. I also tried their take-home mix and OMG.

This is PEAK hot cocoa, straight up.
