Even though these are very hot days (even though they say next week will be even hotter), last year around this time I was weak due to some issues, and I felt crushed by the heat. Despite higher temperatures this year, I feel good and, even though I feel the heat, I am optimistic and positive about the energy I have. Gardening is always a challenge in such hot weather, so generally I follow the shade in the morning. Already it is so hot in the sun.

And the cool of the evening (on days it cools sufficiently.)

Luckily I got the sage and thyme pruned, and some nice thyme to dry for my mixed herbs. (Such aromas)

Some weeding amongst the chives.

Some watering of pots, and filling the water containers for birds, bees and small animals.

Snipped the heads from the fennel to dry the flowers and collect the pollen.

I am off to pick up some shelves from the Buy Nothing group, for pots and other garden doflackies.
