Oh, I’m glad you posted this. I just finished "Hotel Del Luna" a couple of weeks ago and was probably going to start “Doom At Your Service” as part of my Park Bo Young quest. Maybe I’ll wait a bit.

I’m sorry, but this scene will never not be hot (starting at 0:44). The top button undone! 🥵 The rolled up sleeves! 🥵 The rings! 🥵 The way he swirls the ice in his glass! 🥵 The way he takes a sip! 🥵
Goes to show a man can be fully clothed doing something mundane as walking and taking a sip of whiskey and still make me all hot and bothered.

@EllenInEdmonton @Hanktank Currently, I’m watching Doom At Your Service. It’s hard to watch immediately after finishing which was simply amazing. But I’m going to finish it. It’s an okay story but I chose to watch it at the wrong time. Then I might try

Jung Dong-hwan as Manager Noh in Hotel Del Luna (S. Korea, 2019) exists in a shared universe with José Sacristán as Don Emilio (Lopez) in the extended Velvet Series (Spain, 2013-)

I would happily watch a crossover show about them managing things and avuncularly mentoring juniors in the afterlife.

Hotel del Luna
(2019 Netflix, Watchparty 16 1:20 eps)

I watched 1 eps a week with a Fri night watch party. It was great to watch with a group of people well educated in Asian cultures and mythology. I learned so much of the symbolism and meaning in the beautiful cinematography and the story. It is about learning to forgive, or at least accept the past and the consequences, even if unfair, to be able to move forward.

It's funny, touching, and heart-wrenching. The FL costumes are glorious. This is the first time I've seen IU and have become a big fan. She's an amazing actress. The other actors were also wonderful.

There are so many!!

Of those, I’ve seen Extraordinary Attorney Woo, Hotel Del Luna, and The K2 - loved them all for very different reasons.

A couple of yours are on my “To Watch” list. I’ll have to check out the others.Thanks.

I just finished and wow, what a show! It turned out to be a beautiful romance, but with a lot of wonderful stories wrapped around it.

The setting (a supernatural hotel for ghosts working through their last grudges to be able to go on to the next life peacefully) worked surprisingly well, the writers used it in so many creative ways! :blobcataww:

The episodes are all quite long (75-90 minutes), BUT! that actually turned out to be the perfect length for me: the storytelling per episode has so much more room to breathe, so that each episode worked well on its own, didn't need annoying cliffhangers, while also having enough room to develop the main storyline as well.
...and let's be honest, I'm someone who'd rarely watch just a single 40min episode anyways.

If you don't mind the occasional jumpscare and don't mind seeing *a lot* of dead people, I can wholeheartedly recommend this gem of a show. :comfyblobcat:

I just watched the first episode of , it's pretty good so far! It's about a hotel for ghosts, and definitely deserves a CW for death and (visibly) dead people, but I really like the slightly artsy style, and I have absolutely no clue where the show's gonna go - mystery? romance? The next episode's teaser had a wild tiger in it?

Sounds like a wild ride and I'm absolutely down! :squirrelcomfy:
