@kentparkstreet I've long held the One Truth of Architecture:
There must be a really reliable hot shower.

Before a kitchen, before bedrooms, before sewerage, before walls and even a roof. A Really Reliable #HotShower.

A hailstorm might prove to be uncomfortable, but I'd turn the heat up, jam my head under the rose, and tough it out. Fire? Turn the hot water off. Cyclone and/or flood? Possibly turn off the shower and hold onto the rose quite tight. No worries.

I think most of the UN could be replaced with #InternationalRescue style plumbing teams and world peace would break out overnight.

Today's job: install my new heat pump water heater.

I'm replacing a 15 year old gas water heater. I am excited about the switch to more efficiency and to cleaner energy (my electricity comes from wind). I'm not excited about the timing. It's never good when your wife steps out of the shower and says, "There's no hot water."

Want to know what makes superious motivation? The first hot shower in days!

Last stretch home after 4.5 months on the road. Going from Roseburg to Seattle today, maybe even beat the Seattle traffic. Looking forward to #hotshower, #dishwasher, and #kingsizebed :blobcheer:
