The hottest day of the week is not only a matter of preference but also of record. A new report by the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) reveals that the hottest day of the week was Friday, July 7, with the mercury spiking to 17.24 °C (63.03 °F). That broke the record set three days earlier at 17.23 °C (63.01 °F) and confirms the trend of rising temperatures due to climate change. newatlas.com/environment/hotte

Earth set an unofficial record high temperature on Thursday, the third such mark of the week. Phys.org explains why scientists call the heat wave a symptom of a larger problem, with one saying he wouldn’t be surprised if it’s been the warmest week in 120,000 years.

And records will continue to be shattered because this is a Crisis we are not addressing - July 4 was the recorded on , surpassing July 3, which held the record for a day. Both days were the hottest recorded since reliable record-keeping began in 1979. However, scientists suspect they are the hottest days Earth has experienced in at least #125,000 years. 📈 July 3 has been recorded as the world's with an average temperature of 17.01°C

🏭 Before man began pumping fossil fuels into the atmosphere, the was 280ppm. Today it stands at nearly 421ppm. You can't reverse that. And it's still growing 📈

So, we just experienced the since record keeping began. Is the cause? Is it real? Did humans cause it? Or is it part of the planetary cycle of the Earth?

Who care! What matters is there is clear evidence that human endeavours have had a significant impact upon our planet's climate, over the past few centuries, and this impact is accelerating. That ought to be sufficient for all of us to alter our behaviour—for our progeny.
