Should have bought it quicker and I'd have realized it's mostly alcohol with a tiny bit of glycerin.
Also, if it's already started...yee haw, it burns!

I'm very thankful that the hot tub is another tool in my arsenal to cope with pain that's never going to really go away.

These chlorine tablets are great - they have stuff for keeping the pool clear as well, and you put in a floater.
I have used for a long time, and found that I had to close the floater down to minimum and even put tape around it or else there was way too much chlorine in the water. They then last several days, one at a time, and work well.
However, for last month, it has changed. Even two tablets, in floater fully open, the chlorine level in the hot tub is zero.
Ideas?

668 followers · 4913 posts · Server mas.toWell, the storm came as usual, but it was all over-and-done by 9 pm, perfect for my nightly hot tub time. I had a peaceful hour outside, alone with the night, everyone in the neighborhood having retreated inside for the night.
Anyone who thinks rural life is "quiet" at night has never lived near nature. Between the insects, frogs, and assorted birds, nighttime may lack human noise, but it's NOISY here in the South.

So I scared hubby tonight. I asked about the circular saw, and after he answered, he wanted to know what I wanted it for at nearly midnight.
I told him to cut off my shoulder.
He didn't think I was funny.

You know the one, it starts in May and runs until October...if we don't get any fall hurricanes (that's when the season for them peaks.)
It started at 3 today and ended after 11 pm. No hot tub for me tonight.

For pain relief, it's not dramatic, but over time, relaxing those muscles and being able to flex joints in the warm water is great. My skin also loves it, even with the chlorine. I also am not thrilled with the construction site decor around it, but...it's too hot to do much already, so its a work in progress.

As for pain relief, hubby refuses to even LOOK at it, let alone get in it. My mother does use it and has decided it has reduced her neuropathy issues. As for me, it's a fine line between hot enough to do some good and overheating. I'm finding I can only stay in it about 15-20 minutes and have to get out & cool off. It helps, but it's also not a miracle solution.
