I've got about a fourth of #HouseOfLeaves left to read. I have no thoughts, feelings, or opinions about it. I have read this book the way one eats a rice cake; you see the cake in your hand, you chewed mindlessly & tasted nothing, & the way you knew the experience was over was that there simply wasn't anything in your hand anymore.

Trying to read #HouseOfLeaves after a few hours of #CrossStitch was a terrible plan & has resulted in me deciding that cleaning my shower is a better way to spend the next 20 minutes.

I'm sinking my teeth into "House of Leaves" by Mark Z. Danielewski. One frustrating thing is that "alot" is used a lot right in the introduction, in wrong contexts. Not sure about the rest of the book yet.

Still, I have no idea if this is just an editor's error, or was that in the original text and left on purpose. Is this the part of the book's horror narrative, or just left there to frustrate the reader? I guess we will never know...

I’m in love with #Danielewski ‘s #HouseOfLeaves - 100% horror, unique tale and maze-like structure cannot be compared with other books. Maybe, but just maybe, reader could see some similarities with #ThomasLigotti, but I am not sure if this is right path to follow. Anyway, am in love. #horror #bookstodon

For what it’s worth, I love #HouseOfLeaves

It’s essentially a found-footage book and I get a kick out of it.

After watching two videos about a very well made Doom 2 custom map with a mysterious origin, I decided to order the House of Leaves by Mark Z. Danielewski.

Maybe the Doom mod was actually made by the author as a new addition to the universe? 🤔
