What if I just required attunement for anyone to use it? My party wants more healing because their bard and cleric are seldom able to attend and I don't really care for giving them a crate of healing potions.

Silvery Barbs should be 3rd level like Counterspell, but even then I think it should require some kind of caster roll for it to do EVERY effect it currently has as written. I'm trying to figure out what the DC should be, or if it should be opposed? #D&D #SilverBarbs #Houserule

Today's revelation: I think I'm going to hack the AD&D 2e combat movement rules into Savage Worlds.

Combat (in most modern RPGs) gets REALLY static - with everyone standing and swinging - because you are actively punished for moving around. AD&D 2e only gave that free attack when you were actively in retreat, because you dropped your defenses.

All this talk of the undead and level-drains reminded me, I have a mechanic for very powerful undead to be able to turn the living, similar to how clerics can turn undead!
