One suspects mass expropriation will be the trigger everyone is hoping for. The property hoarders are reproducing an economic order in which housing is a luxury reserved for the very rich. That's not going to work out for them

The recent win of a #VacancyTax ballot measure in #SanFrancisco is good incremental progress, thank you to everyone who put effort into it. Further suggestions:

✔️ Citywide communal zoning
✔️ Communalize all landlorded properties
✔️ Abolish landlordism
✔️ Abolish speculative property market
✔️ Abolish property

Now THAT would be a progressive #housing policy!!!

I'm happy for you #Oakland and imma let you finish but mayor-elect Sheng Thao's proposed #housing policies won't nudge the city one millimeter off of its current trajectory of white-settler mass gentrification. 15% affordable? Already on the books in #SanFrancisco , urban cleansing capital of the world.

It will take a lot more than voting in "progressives" to stop the property hoarders from stealing our homes!
