Hi Mastodon, here’s our #Introduction This is the profile for our #sailboat #svTropicalDawn she’s a 9,3 meter #Morgan31 #sailing #yacht designed by #AngeloLavranos and built in #SouthAfrica (not sure exactly where and when, probably late 1980s in Durban). We set sail in December 2022 from #HoutBay #CapeTown and after a stop in #Luderitz we’re now in #WalvisBay #Namibia getting ready to cross the #SouthAtlantic towards #Brazil and then the #Caribbean making a stop at #StHelena ⛵️ #cruisingLife 🏝️

We’re spending a night at Royal Cape Yacht Club before starting our Atlantic crossing. We had to stop here to clear out of South Africa and decided it’s better to start well rested. Was planning to get started on servicing the outboard engine but went for a longish walk with the dog and now the wind is pumping and it just doesn’t seem like the right time got it. Gonna study for ny yacht master offshore theory exam instead. #sailing #yachting #HoutBay
