Enjoyable (but cold) second half saw Whitley Bay come from behind to beat Ashington 2-1 - probably deserved the win although we're hanging in a bit at then end.

Nice and well-deserved 3-1 win for Whitley Bay over Newcastle United this evening. Less than 700 folk there, not sure what was expected but I certainly thought there'd be a bigger turn out!

At Hillheads for Whitley Bay's Northumbria Cup QF match against Newcastle United U21 ~ have to say I'm a little disappointed in Newcastle's turnout considering walking around anywhere in Tyneside you see so many of their fans it's a shame they haven't come out to support grassroots football.
