Thank you SO much—Clicking the picture WORKS!!

I tried clicking on the “handle”of the poster but it didn’t let me follow. So I resorted to memorizing the name & correct server for the poster I wanted to follow, then switching to search & tryin ta drag all the right info from my brain to click on the handle that came up in my search—just so I could follow. Exhausting just to type this!

Imagine you've likely figured this out by now but the answer is no you don't.
I just found it wouldn't let me follow people on different servers in my browser, so I downloaded one of the apps (I got tusky) and found I could just click follow on anyone then. #howtofollowonmastodon
