If you want people to find your toots. Use if you don't, don't. It's that fucking simple.

How can you tell if an account is real or an imposter? Are there any clues in the server name or anything?

Learning something new about Masto every day. Sorry to those who already know most of this, but a lot people are new here like me, and if this helps them even a bit to have a nice experience here, I think it's a good thing to post about it.
The thing I learned today was that people who don't want to take the time to click on CW marked posts can choose to "always show media" instead in the preferences. ^^

Question on Mastodon:

how do you create a group (these accounts that automatically reboot when you ping them),

what are the advantages of doing so (let's say, compare to using subject hashtags in your toots?)

Favorite and . I used favorite on the bird site for bookmarking. Now I am using it here in the same fashion. But what would I have bookmarks for then? What are other people's best practices? Do I miss a functional difference?

So we're asked to use CW widely. And actually to not use it as a warning, but as a heading or even mini abstract in order to expand the entry.

Suggestion to developers: Add another category to distinguish between a warning and a screen space saver aka wrapper.
