FYI ... Was looking for a #QuoteTweet like feature in my #HowToUseMastodon quest. Couldn't find one but apparently that was on purpose. Read lots of good points about how it can lead to harassment and negative posts. You can still copy a link to a toot and post it into a new message along with your comment though. Is that looked upon negatively here?

A few things to help with using Mastodon:

The federated timeline is like celery, it absorbs liquid and if you add dye to it it makes a good 3rd grade science project.

The local timeline is where everyone you know hangs out and talks about cats and dogs, and very occasionally turtles. Sometimes there are bunnies!

The home timeline is where you eat breakfast, but please make sure you’ve cleaned up your Cheerios that fell on the floor or you may get grounded.
