Today is a very auspicious day for some of my research (that I'm keeping under wraps for now)- but I can tell you it relates to the term Cadi (analogous to Queer in Welsh- see screenshot below of @geiriadurGPC)
Cadi is a term that has existed in Welsh since the 1600s. Its usage is often vague but over time it has been used to describe effeminate boys, masculine girls and people who would be called Intersex today.

Despite this, the next times it would appear in a Welsh dictionary are in 1993, 2000, 2001, 2005, 2016 and 2017.
