My local hospital in #Limerick is already, understaffed, underresourced and over-managed.
The notion of it being adequately resources for 400k people?
When it's bed count is 562?
Is ridiculous.
There needs to be direct intervention led by clinicians rather than bed managers.
The #HSE has serious questions to answer regarding the #WinterPlan

So good form seems to be an #introduction post…
So here goes…
English guy who decamped to #Switzerland shortly after graduating in #Chemistry in 1994. Not before getting married though. A PhD in Organic Chemistry followed, together with 2 kids, and then a career in #Quality and #HSE in the Pharma and chemicals industry.
Avid sports fan (literally everything), a frustrated #SouthamptonFC fan, a reader of books and current affairs.
Left leaning and really not happy about the state of the UK.

My wife starts a course of #chemotherapy today.
The last few months have been a #rollercoaster
The treatment and the support offered to her (and me) from diagnosis through her surgeries and on to her #Chemo has been exceptional.
The #HSE has it's problems, but, the care offered to us by the #MidWestCancerCentre and #LimerickBreastClinic has made this journey easier.
