#SummerSolstice #Celtic #FairyTaleTuesday: In central #Brittany, a pond in the forest of #Huelgoat was said to be the location for a great meeting of #fairies who congregated there each year, at the summer solstice, to judge those of their number who had shown themselves particularly spiteful to their human neighbours. Each fairy was able to cast their opinion without fear or favour and those found guilty were condemned to stay at the bottom of the water until the next appearance of the summer solstice.
