About a week ago, these two huge flags appeared mysteriously in the Music Concourse in Golden Gate Park, flanking the bandshell, between the de Young museum and Academy of Sciences.

No one seems to know where they came from, or what they mean, but they’re beautiful, especially how they flutter, seemingly in slow motion.
