Well, I finally chose an engine for HumanShared.com
I'm going with BetterSearch, made by one of my favorite developers, Ajay D'Souza.
It pulls by the content of the post and taxonomies. I'm not sure if it will pull from the content of RSS feed shortcodes, so I'm trying to be very descriptive in the tags.

Okay y'all, https://humanshared.com is running. It's not fully complete, but you can go on and register, and I'll make you an author so you can post links. I hooked it up with ActivityPub and IndieWeb even though I'm not sure how useful that is yet. It will be in the future, for certain. Feel free to create new categories if you need. Worst case I'll edit them if it's too chaotic.
