A plaque shows that the bridge was built by the Lackawanna Bridge Company, date unknown. The 70-year old McCabe Road bridge nearby is closed to traffic, due for replacement in 2024.

High water caused cattail root mats to float, eventually breaking away from the ground in a marsh upstream and jam up on the trestle bents.
