DOT stands for department of transport, but the relevant spec is ISO 4925, which defines classes. Everyone uses DOT numbers anyways. All except 5 but including 5.1 are glycol cocktails. DOT 5 is silicone and completely incompatible, don't mix. Some Citroens use mineral oil (LHM).
The difference are boiling point and viscosity. If you have ABS/ESP, you want a low viscosity fluid.

I am wondering whether a kettle could persist for ~ 12 ka as meters of #sediment and #peat accumulate in the #marsh as #sealevelrise floods the #estuary during the #Holocene. @Anthro’s suggestion of #hydraulic scouring, or something similar, may be the explanation. The #hydraulic scour explanation is interesting, possibly interacting with preexisting glacial features like a kettle. The strand here is, I think, natural, so it’s not induced by a constructed #levee in this case. Thanks for the interesting reply.

We had an interesting and lovely guided tour of #tidePool with #SANDSWA.
Didn't know: #Starfish have water #vascular system, a #hydraulic network of canals used for movement, food, gas exchange.
Also: coralline #algae have a skeleton of #coral-like material

Now that the EV market has inspired large scale innovation, I'm paying close attention to the "Yellow Iron" market. This includes all forms of heavy construction equipment as the fleets are converted from #diesel to #electric.
I can imagine low maintenance #hydraulic power vehicles could tear down a mountain quite quickly. To make this market transition, there has to be a long term rise in the value of commodities.

What doesn't work is the #Subaru #hydraulic system meant to keep the trunk door open so you can (un)load items. That door just slams shut unless I hold it up. The seat is hard until you heat it. And it's either AC or hot air, which isn't ideal, because human breath turns to ice on the inside of the windshield quickly.
