Ecological resilience of restored peatlands to #ClimateChange

"Compliance with the #ParisAgreement implies carbon neutrality by 2050–2070 meaning that we must avoid additional loss of #peatlands, ensure their sustainable use, & restore/rewet ~500,000 km2 of drained peatlands. (Box 1 below) Assessing the restoration capacity & economic efficiency of peatland restoration must thus urgently take place.
