If the effects of #covid are primarily vascular, #LongCovid is about blood flow, and #BrainFog is about oxygen; treat it using #hyperbaric?

I ask a hyperbaric doc who sez—no one is going to prescribe that.

Might someone with brain fog get relief at an #OxygenBar?
Shrug. Who knows?

Seems there are drugs (besides O2) used for altitude sickness. Might it help? Unknown.

Am told oxygen bars are "safe".
No Rx. Helpful for LC patients? Has anyone who has it tried?

#Hyperbaric treatment for #LongCovid?

So Friday night and I'm watching a video on #hyperbaric medicine [1] (as one does), and I was stuck by the fairly radical notion of informed consent proposed in the consensus paper on #InWaterRecompression. Unsurprisingly the two people providing care need specialized training (decompression procedures) but interestingly the patient needs to be trained to the same level in order to understand the risks.
