What I love about the twitter/mastodon thing is that it prompts us to reflect on social media: what is it, what can it be? My go to book is Infinite Distraction by Dominic Pettman (preferably read in conjunction with Peak Libido to connect to the #climatecrisis). He introduces the term #hypermodulation to qualify social media's rol in society now.
