So #CornelWest co-wrote a article published in WSJ a month or so before he announced his candidacy that celebrated #Desantis made the Classics Exam an option for admittance into Florida Colleges and Universities. West has promoted the Classics Exam for years, This has absolutely nothing to do with the Florida Public School Curriculum.

When asked about the article, West responds something to effect of "I try to say something nice about everyone , I agree with Desantis .001% of the time, everything else I disagree" And then proceeds to denounce Desantis as a Fascist.

This is part of Ethos: gaining good will of the audience. In that clip with Proud Boy and Candace Owens, he tears them to pieces while being highly respectful. I suppose you can disagree with the concept of dialogue with right wingers, but it doesn't in itself make someone a fascist. His expressed intent is to de-radicalize right wingers.

To say that West has "endorsed" Desantis or his public school curriculum is simply not true.
