I'm trying to rule out compression lows as a cause of my nocturnal hypos. I'm pretty sure they are artefactual, but not due to compression - I think they are due to dysautonomia causing changes in interstitial fluid (more on this in a future post). But I want to know if ppl think this contraption - a big sensor cover, would actually do its stated job of preventing compression lows:

Finally got all the supplies together, learned how to use them & used a glucometer to check my FreeStyle Libre 1 for accuracy. It appears to be working perfectly.😟

Thursday. I'm pretty sure I was not lying on the sensor as I woke up in the night & checked the time & I was lying on the opposite side. But if this isn't somehow an artefact I don't know how I still have a brain left. Lactate? #CGM #hypoglycemia

On my second time using FreeStyle Libre glucose sensor (not a true CGM). I'm having hypoglycemia episodes in very early morning. I don't think it's due to lying on the unit as it has happened when sleeping upright in a recliner. It coincides w/ sicca. Blood sugar goes up to normal if I wake up & start moving around, sicca also improves. I have low fasting glucose & insulin, normal HBA1c.

Anyone else have this?
