Hypotheses are #empirically testable #propositions in #theories. Empirically testable means that we can decide whether the proposition is true or false based on #observations. Thus, a hypothesis is an #assumption or conjecture about a relationship.

2️⃣ Types
#Difference hypotheses:
- Children eat more ice cream scoops than adults.
#Correlation hypotheses:
- The warmer it is, the more ice cream is sold.
- When it is warmer outside, more people eat ice cream.

@wgervais Although we don't have an alternative explanation for the #CosmologicalRedshift, there is no proof that it cannot be produced by a quantum phenomenon.

I am researching this to eliminate the need for multiple #Hypotheses such as #DarkMatter, #DarkEnergy, #Inflation, all of which currently don't have an explanation and lead to several tensions in the Standard #CosmologicalModel .
