Why is it that we allow gunsmithing to remain industrialized? I understand the nature of it being a precise process that can result in catastrophic failure if done wrong, but why not bring artistry into the tools of the revolution? Why not bypass the controls of the state by handcrafting the tools of the revolution? I recognize the CNC machines are bulky, expensive, and difficult to use, but surely there are some anarchist with personal machine shops. So, why not make homemade tools, in all their varieties? Why not add artistry and praxis directly into the tools of revolution?
