Could yes, but it could mean the opposite also. Govts are likely to hide some communications using systems like I2P/Tor.

The DDOS appears to have been to deanonymise the lead dev of #i2prouter who mysteriously disappeared earlier this month. Unless that dev was in Russia we don't believe I2P was attacked by them.

Can we determine the blocked #IPAddresses from the #DDOS from the recent source code/updates of I2P? Answer will be there in plain sight.

New blog post shows how to disable "default" system browser from starting up & heading to I2p console.

This prevents mistakes (like users oversharing in wrong browser window not set for proxying), and tip for how to disable #javascript, for sites that do not require it (for user safety)

Indeed, but as useful as those tools are, they are in other ways leaking data, not speaking for scuttlebutt because we've yet to research it.

We can't vouch for #OMEMO but it sounds good too.

#I2P is very similar to #Tor. It bounces your traffic around. It works slightly differently to Tor.

Tor is designed mostly for accessing the #legacyInternet anonymously. They also discourage high traffic use such as traffic from videosharing etc and that is what many do on socialMedia. So I2P is better suited for socialMedia.

Seriously performance-wise #I2P is not bad at all, if that is your concern. We can dig up a good high-level comparison of #Tor and if you like.

I2P is not for accessing the #legacyWeb. Torrenting is encoraged for the I2P network. More traffic, helps to mask other traffic. See #I2PSnark.

By default, everyone in I2P is a router for others.

Don't forget #i2p for #hosting. With #i2prouter you get a lot of stuff out-of-the-box, including the opportunity to host and to mix other traffic with your own to improve #anonymity.

It may serve you to use #i2prouter and talk to the dev team.

When you run i2prouter it starts your default browser, showing a console with routing info and apps and services. Your broswer experience might be useful as such a service.

So #i2p cover the routing but are struggling to offer an official web browser, last we heard.

This is how #i2p addressing works, if we're not mistaken. Also a #fourColoured #graphing method. It can take a few minutes for someone to have access to #i2pWebsites after performing the command, 'i2prouter start'.
