108 followers · 118 posts · Server infosec.exchangeI have discovered a fundamental error in my understanding of #Azure Network Security Groups. I thought they drew a dotted line around the members allowing any-by-default access within the dotted line… but none-by-default outside the dotted line.
Turns out I'm wrong. By default an NSG will allow anything on the same vnet (not subnet, vnet).
I'm not entirely sure where this misconception came from but I think I have some retrofitting to do…!

Rounding out the Top 5 #DX areas on average is Public #Cloud Infrastructure-as-a-Service (#IaaS). However. IaaS is not rated highest or lowest in significant numbers - IaaS supporters appear to lack the passion of other focus areas.
