- Bear In The Window.

Remember when we were all struggling with this new concept of a lockdown? We were looking for creative ways to keep our community connected and find some happiness. Anything to fight the tedium! The kids especially found it difficult, so one of the initiatives I initiated in my community was .
The concept was easy enough; grab a teddy bear, place it in your window and when the children went out with their parents for their allocated exercise time, they could go Teddy Bear spotting! I had lot's of teddy bears and lots of windows - so I had them everywhere!
Other neighbours soon followed suit and the kids in my neighbourhood loved it. I loved hearing their sweet giggling voices as they enjoyed their evening stroll.
Here are just a few of the bears I placed in my windows...and on furniture (believe me - there were a lot more!)

- Did you know I was once featured on the Brimbank libraries website? I used to frequent my local library for some personal research, internet & computer use and DVD/CD rentals.
The staff were always friendly and welcoming and always offered to help, even when my enquiry wasn't library or council related.

I loved it there!

Here are some pics from back then :P

Continuing on from my post on Wednesday, I thought it fitting to share a few things from when I ran filmmaking and smartphone photography workshops for young people in our community.

These were free events hosted by Brimbank Neighbourhood Houses throughout 2020, both in person (prior to the lockdowns) and online.

I hope I am given an opportunity to do something like this again.

- The Filmmaker

I realised there was so much more to a photo than snapping an image. There was a thought process, elements that come together to create something beautiful, but most importantly - there was a story.
