My plan included enough step over time to grab food, and taking the 2nd last connection in case something went wrong. It‘s not my fault #ICE79 broke down, and that there were no hotels available in Erfurt or Frankfurt.
The DB staff on the trains was great! The DB staff at the info points was not only overwhelmed and communicated badly,to the point of being obstructive, it now is also unempathic and rude. #DB_Bahn, you need to do better!
When talking about spending more money than planned due to yesterday‘s fuck up and asking if there‘s a way DB could help me to off set some of those costs as a show of good will I was prepared to hear a ‚no‘, but not a ‚Why did you not pack enough food!?‘ #ICE79
My dude, I was planning to be in Brussels at 10 PM, not on an overcrowded RE from an overcrowded train station (Erfurt) to one where everything is closed already (Göttingen), bringing me to a bed at midnight.
This was by far my worst day with #DB ever. #nowträvelling
Erased connections, broken down trains without AC on, rude personell that miscommunicated and lied, DB failing to book a hotel even though its required by law, having to turn back mid-journey, and me making a round trip of 10 for a distance that would take less than 2 and reattempting to travel home tomorrow. #ICE79 #Bahnzeit

The lesson to learn from this ongoing #ICE79 saga: if travelling from Berlin/Hanover to Brussels, do not accept an itinerary that does not go via Amsterdam.
DB really needs to get access to ICD ticketing!
