713 followers · 2218 posts · Server floss.social@kelbot Took my first ride on the RadRover 6+. Went into town, about 13.5 miles each way. Also it was 20F / -7C. Thankfully I still had my #icebiking gear from years ago, and the LiIon battery seemed to do OK (I had kept it indoors overnight). This was incredible! I found it was very nice to set a suitable assist level and hover at max speed 20MPH. If I felt like adding muscle, it just backed off and I could maintain (or exceed) speed. And I could just bedal less hard and it'd maintain!

I was planning to ride it into town Wednesday morning (13 miles each way) but it's going to be 25 and I'm not quite ready to get back into #icebiking yet! Though I certainly did back in the day before I worked from home.
