Episode 6 was the first episode of “The Iceblade Sorcerer Shall Rule the World” that I fully enjoyed. More humor, more focus on interesting side characters, more wholesome giant muscle men (they remind me so much of the body improvement club from Mob Psycho), and it doesn’t feel as try-hard as it was for the first arc. I hope it keeps this vibe going into the second half of the season.

Sometimes harem shows manage to parse the difference between “a collection of tropes” and “characterisation”.

#IcebladeSorcerer is not one of those shows. By the time the 5th, 6th, I dunno girl was introduced I was just… bored.

Folks, there are ways to handle large casts. Even game adaptations such as #KanColle and #FGO_EP7 have done this well.
