After getting our chances melted out in past years we finally visited the #IceCastles in Lake Geneva yesterday. Definitely picked the perfect time of 5pm so we had the daytime/sunset/night experiences all in one visit.

Minnesota gets weather perfect for ice castles! On a wonderful below freezing day recently, I went to one of my nearby ice castles and took over 100 photos, partly because I am fascinated by the creative work that goes into constructing these, and also because I can use some of these photos for my Castles & Crusades RPG game when characters enter icy caverns or ice fortresses
