Rainbow ice caves in Mount Rainier National Park get their cold, crystallized colors from naturally occurring algae. Light refraction and the ice thickness determines the spread of the colors.
It should be mentioned that entering ice caves or melt water channels are dangerous as they are prone to spontaneous collapse due to melting.

"Analyzing eight ice caves in four Austrian federal states, a team of geologists from the University of Innsbruck has comprehensively documented the loss and gain of ice in Alpine ice caves over the last 2,000 years for the first time. The geologist Tanguy Racine warns that the ice of smaller caves is especially in danger of disappearing in the near future and with it a valuable climate archive."
