Still trying to find the best Mastodon app for iOS. I currently use Icecube, yet I’m wondering if I’m missing out.

What are your thoughts on all the apps like Ivory, Icecube, and Mona?

Heute hat die #IceCubeApp wohl Probleme? Zuerst dauerte es sehr lange ein Foto hochzuladen - und nun geht es gar nicht mehr. 🤔🫠

@santiago @MonaApp @tootapp I checked @TootApp a few months back and found it to be second best after #IceCubesApp.

In fact, I love #IceCubeApp, but it has issues on #Macs and doesn’t do #iCloud sync. I could live with the latter, but the former is really tough.

But maybe I do something wrong, but Mona does no sync for Local and Federated timelines, only Home.

Just reporting a consistent bug.

The app seems to crash whenever I visit an account that has a large number of followers.

Reopening and trying multiple times almost always resolves the problem after a few more crashes (hope that’s a clue).

Imho @IceCubesApp has serious problems with media management. Viewing a video is a frustrating experience #icecubeapp

Liking #icecubeApp. It’s much less buggy than #mammoth. And after a while I’ve started to really like the purple icons, as well 💜

After many weeks of trying out all the #mastodon apps, I have settled on @IceCubesApp
It may have a few drawbacks, but not many, and certainly outshines them all, IMHO.
I especially love not having to click on pics/vids to view them!

Étonnamment je peux poster une photo depuis Photos dans #IceCubeApp alors que cela ne fonctionne pas en allant chercher la photo depuis l’application. #iOS16_4 beta publique, iPhone et iPad.

J’ai installé sur mon iPhone la version finale de #MammothApp qui est remarquable comme l’est #ivoryapp.

Pour autant, et c’est une question d’usage, voire de confort global, je garde mon baril d’#IceCubeApp (référence connotée pour les gens de ma génération :-) pour des raisons qui vont du choix de la typographie (personnalisable) à celui du traducteur embarqué, entre autres.

Enfin, j’ai apprécié disposer des mises à jour, suivre en live l’élaboration de cette app.

Fidèle je suis.
